Now a days, in Pakistan situation is quite serious because of price hikes in daily use commodities. A wide protest can be seen at public level for electricity bill, it seems its a civil disobedience movement by the public.
After Announcing the 5.30 rupees price hike in electricity bill and unfair taxes in electricity bills people start protesting in almost all cities of the country. Protest by the public starts from Mirpur Azad Kashmir spreads throughout the country, people can be seen burning electricity bills as a protest.
According to the people they are not going to pay the electricity bills until unfair taxes could be removed from the electricity bills.
Bar Councils are participating with public and announcing full cooperation with the public and issues notes and held strikes in Courts.
one the other hand different suicide incidents are reported due to electricity bills in different parts of the country. In one sad incident 7 people of one family had killed each other in Harripur due to electricity bill, in another incident an old man attempt suicide during a protest in Rawalpindi Khana pul and died at the spot when he suddenly jumped over the bridge.
Few news are reported that people attacked on electricity workers to prevent them to cut the connection of their electricity. Official are in silent mode, no government official is taking it serious. Protests are widely spreading throughout the courtly.
People are claiming that due to their bad financial condition, they are not in a position to pay the bills as government make our lives miserable. our businesses has been destroyed by the government, on the other hand government officials are enjoying free electricity and other facilities. either we can buy food pay school fees for the kids buy medicine or pay bill.
A total civil nonobedience movement has been formed, uptill now there is no chance to stop it or government has no policy to control the public.
